Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the effect of intraventricular punture site of ventriculoperitoneal shunt postoperative result.

Methods

In General Hospital of Fuxin Mining Group from Jan. 2008 to Dec. 2015 treated 49 patients with hydrocephalus as experimental group. Purcture of lateral ventricle-deputy triangle trigone ventrculoperitoneal shunt. Another from Oct. 2001 to Dec. 2007, preoperative not positioning based on triangle lateral ventricle puncture ventricle peritoneal shunt. A total of 35 cases as control group compare the situation of the postoperative complications in two groups.

Result

The control group with 3 cases of blocking shunt, 7 cases of infection, all taken out the shunt, anti-infections treatment and ventricle peritoneal shunt again. The experimental group had 1 case of infection, no blocking shunt, subdural hematoma, hydrops, low intracranial pressure or split syndrome and other complication. There is a significant difference in complications in both groups(χ2=12.63, P=0.000).

Conclusion

Deputy triangle puncture, can prevent the triangle shunt tip to choroid plexus package, educe the bypass surgery complications.
