The effect of minimally invasive puncture combined with oral atorvastatin on chronic subdural hematoma

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effect of minimally invasive puncture combined with oral atorvastatin in the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma.

Methods

To review and analyze 65 cases of chronic subdural hematoma which were treated with minimally invasive puncture combined with atorvastatin.

Results

All the patients were cured. 12 patients had different degrees of pneumocephalus and one patients had epilepsy.

Conclusion

The minimally invasive treatment of chronic subdural hematoma has the advantages of short operation time, quick recovery and if combined with oral atorvastatin, it can effectively reduce the recurrence rate, which is suitable for clinical promotion.
