Abstract:
Objective
To compare the curative effects of two intensive insulin therapies with different blood glucose target on patients with stress hyperglycemia after craniocerebral trauma.
Methods
Fifty-six traumatic patients enrolled from January 2010 to October 2014 were divided randomly in two groups with different blood glucose targets:4.4~6.1mmol/L in the low-target group(Leuven Method)and 6.2~8.9mmol/L in the high~target group.
Results
The mortality rates, incidence of MOF,duration in ICU and Infection incidences of the two groups have no significant difference, and the incidence of hypoglycemia is low in high-target group.
Conclusions
There is no significant difference in the two group of target-valued intensive insulin therapy methods as far as preliminary clinical curative effect is concerned.Because the incidence of hypoglycemia is high in low-target group, the high-target-valued method is more suitable for clinical appliance.
