Abstract:

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) involves multiple and complex nerve injury mechanisms. The degree of injury and prognosis are closely related to the neuroinflammatory response. Microglia are the most important immune cells in the central nervous immune system and their subtype differentiation and function in TBI expression is dynamic and multi-faceted, and the specific mechanism has not been thoroughly investigated. This article mainly reviews the immune regulation of microglia in TBI and its mechanism of action on neurons.

Key words: Traumatic brain injury, Microglia, Neuronal damage, Neuroimmunity
