Abstract:

Coagulant abnormality can occur secondary to traumatic brain injury (TBI) . The mechanism includes platelet dysfunction, abnormal activation of UPA/TPA, brain-derived microparticulars (BDMP) , activation of protein C system, release of tissue factors (TF) , change of blood coagulation factor Ⅶ activity, etc. In this review, recently researches were briefly reviewed to illuminate the possible mechanisms of this secondary coagulant abnormality in the different phases of TBI.
