Neural stem cells and nerve repair after craniocerebral injury

Abstract:

Craniocerebral injury is the leading cause of lethal and disability in nowadays.Treatment of neural stem cells (NSCs) is trying to introduce new cells to replace dead neurons, or increase the survival, plasticity and functional recovery of the damaged nerve cells by neurotrophic effects on the introduced nerve cells. This article has reviewed from aspects as background,machanisms,strategies and prospects on stem cells nerve repair therapy.
