Bilateral large decompressive craniectomy in the treatment of late-onset intracranial hypertension

Abstract:

Objetive

To investigate the effect of bilateral large decompressive craniectomy on late-onset intracranial hypertension.

Methods

Seven late-onset cranial pressure patients with cerebral. hernia in Hospital of Jiangxi Provincial Armed Police Corps from January 2010 to January 2015 were selected, they were treated by bilateral large decompressive craniectomy.

Results

According to GOS classification standards, 5 scores of 3 cases, 4 scores of 4 cases, 3 scores of 1 cases.

Conclusion

Bilateral large decompressive craniectomy can efficiently reduce the values of ICP, operating in time once discoving conditions changing can imorove the prognosis of those patients.
