Research progress of edaravone administration in treatment of acute cerebral infarction

Abstract

Abstract:

Edaravone is one of common medinces treating acute cerebral infarction, which can scavenge free radicals, can inhibit lipid peroxidation and can delay neuronal cell death, then reducs cerebral edema and brain tissue damage. Edaravone can be applied to treat acute cerebral infarction and other diseases. Different routes of administration of edaravone determine therapeutic parameters, the time to reach injured parts, plasma concentration and pharmacodynamic parameters. Administration routes can directly affect the efficacy of Edaravone. Therefore, this article reviewed edaravone clinical application and route of administration.
