Abstract:

Quercetin, a flavonoid widely distributed in various herbs, fruits and vegetables, has long been used as a component in some traditional Chinese medicines as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor agents. Secondary injury from ICH (Intracerebral hemorrhage) has many unpredictable interference in stroke treatment. Recently, researchers showed that quercetin treatment offered beneficial effects in many aspects of ICH-related brain damage, including overall neurological function. In the present study, we reviewed all the studies about quercetin’s founction in ICH-related neural injury.
