Abstract:

Sellar ependymoma (SEP) is an extremely rare solid tumor with few case reports. The clinical manifestations and imaging features are similar to non-functional pituitary adenomas. The diagnosis mainly depends on postoperative histopathology. Currently, there are no clinical treatment guidelines, and the treatment method is mainly surgery. This article mainly reviews the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of SEP based on the current related literature in order to better guide the clinical work.
