Research progress of surgical treatment of trigeminal neuralgia

Abstract

Abstract:

The cause of trigeminal neuralgia is not clear, the clinical treatment of the disease is still lack of special effects, mainly to alleviate the clinical symptoms and avoid relapse. Currently, the major surgical treatments include microvascular decompression, percutaneous radiofrequency rhizotomy, percutaneous balloon compression, stereotactic radiosurgery. In this article, we review the clinical treatment and treatment effect of trigeminal neuralgia, providing a good reference for clinical treatment.
