Abstract:
Objective
To investigate the clinical application value of continuous intracranial pressure monitoring for patients undergoing the surgery of intracranial aneurysm,cerebral hemorrhage or severe craniocerebral injury.
Methods
During August 2014 to February 2015,thirty-six patients from Weifang People’s Hospital undergoing craniotomy for intracranial aneurysm clipping,cerebral hemorrhage removring and external ventricular drainage were selected for analysis.Intracranial pressure data was continuously observed and recorded using Codman intracranial pressure monitor.Meanwhile,patients’awareness,pupil and vital signs was observed strictly.The average monitoring time is 12 days.The therapy plan could be adjusted at any time according to the monitoring results.
Results
Through adjustment of dehydration and cerebrovascular expansion drugs under the continuous intracranial pressure monitoring,patients’cerebral edema and high cranial pressure symptoms could be effectively controlled.
Conclusion
The usage of continuous intracranial pressure monitoring could obviously improve patients’clinical curative effect included by intracranial aneurysm,cerebral hemorrhage and severe brain injury.
